Audio manufacturer Teac is the latest to join the AirPlay revolution with their new reference series of Hi-Fi products, as well as a new AirPlay enabled speaker dock in the slimline Teac NS-X1 due out later this year.
The first of their products to come on the market with AirPlay integration is the CR-H700 CD receiver, which in addition to AirPlay streaming also includes support for DLNA and USB playback, so plenty of opportunities to play around with streaming from different audio sources, in addition to going old school using your CD collection. The Teac CR-H700 AirPlay CD receiver is set to go on sale in the UK starting at £549, providing two 40W-channels of power.
Also part of the new reference series of products supporting AirPlay is the UD-H01 DAC complete with USB interface, which will form part of family of products all designed to work together. This model is set to come out in July at around £299.
For those looking for a more compact and traditional iPod speaker dock with AirPlay functionality, there is also the Teac NS-X1 speaker dock that is due out in September, which also supports DLNA streaming in addition to Apple AirPlay, and is set to retail at £279. With the Teac NS-X1 AirPlay speaker dock everything is integrated, including a traditional docking station at the top, and integrated speakers. With its slimline design it can also be wall mounted, and there is support for multiroom set-up.
We will be back with more on all the Teac AirPlay products later, but in the mean time you can also check out some of the AirPlay speakers and sound systems already in the market.
