Apple has released a security patch for the new iPhone OS 3.0, referred to as iPhone OS 3.0.1 to fix SMS security flaw. The security flaw has been known for some time, but it is just recently that Apple has released the new security patch that can be downloaded on iTunes.

iPhone can be hacked through text message
According to Apple expert and co-author of The Mac Hacker’s Handbook, Charlie Miller, the iPhone can be hacked through one of the most commonly used services on the smartphone, text messaging. This was revealed at the Syscan conference in Singapore, although it was not revealed how exactly it could be done.

Apple has kept an iPod Touch secret – bluetooth functionality
