There has earlier been rumours about an iPhone Pro coming at some point this year, and Mac Rumors poke around the latest iPhone firmware revealing a product string for iPhone 2.1 could perhaps be related to the same rumors.

No for iPhone Nano as stand-in CEO Cook squashes rumours

Stand-in Apple CEO Cook announced during the quarterly financial results conference call that Apple will not be operating in the “low end voice phone business”, a comment that can be interpreted to kill any speculation about a low priced iPhone Nano in the near future.
