Soundfreaq announces new Boom Freaq bluetooth speaker dock with Lightning adapter

The latest addition to the Soundfreaq family, the Boom Freaq, is part of their Novogratz Collection, all with their own unique design finish. The basis for the Boom Freaq is their Sound Stack speaker dock, so you will find the same audio set up, including the dual full range drivers and dual active subwoofers (DubSub 2.2).

Design wise the Boom Freaq (SFQ-03-NV3) is taking its inspiration from the classic BoomBox cassette deck systems. Besides the retro finish, everything else is very up to date, including the wireless Bluetooth (A2DP) streaming ability, the 30-pin docking station, and the Lightning dock adapter with custom holding for the latest Apple iPod and iPhone models. While catering primarily to the Apple gadget market, the wireless capability and USB charging connector ensures that the system also can work well for other devices. Standard 3.5mm line-in is also included.

Being a limited edition item, the Boom Freaq is currently on pre-order in the US at $350 with a release date in a few weeks time. Whether or not the system will make its way to the UK market remains to be seen.
