Sony has brought a pair of NFC enabled portable Bluetooth speakers with them to CES this year in the SRS-BTX500 and a smaller BTX300, both touting one-touch NFC pairing.
While both speakers have Bluetooth 3.0, NFC one-touch pairing, 2.1-channel sound, and magnetic fluid technology, the Sony SRS-BTX500 offers 40W of output power whilst the BTX300 comes with 20W power output. The increased power of the BTX500 results in six hours of playback from the rechargeable battery, while the BTX300 provides up to 8 hours of play time between charges.
Don’t worry if your phone/tablet is not NFC enabled (all Apple devices) as you can still connect to the speakers Bluetooth 3.0 like normal. Both speakers also comes with a protective carry case.
Both speakers are set for a April release in the UK with pricing to be confirmed.
