Sennheiser has for years been the headphone choice for many runners and sports people out there, much thanks to delivering comfortable headphones that fits snugly, such as the Sennheiser PMX80.
Described by the manufacturer as rugged stereo neckband headphones, the Sennheiser PMX80 features an eronomic neckband, a feature often found in traditional sports headphones to help support a better fit on the ears and stop the earbuds from falling out under movement. They are also listed as sweat- and water resistant, an important feature for use during running or sports as sweat is often an issue tearing on both the headphones themselves as well as the comfort in the ear of the person using them. It also means that you can wash the sweat off under running water when done with your workout.
The sound from the Sennheiser PMX80 is good enough to warrant What HiFi to give them a perfect score in their rating, describing them as detailed, rhytmic and musical.
If there is one thing to note negatively about these headphones it is that there is no on-cable control. There is a cable clip for better cable management and stop tangling of wires during activity, but you can’t skip/pause from the headphones themselves. The updated model in the Sennheiser/Adidas PMX 680 does feature on-cable control.
Overall the Sennheiser PMX80 sport headphones have a positive consumer rating on Amazon UK.
