If you are looking for a little extra stocking filler for your gadget loving friends this Christmas, why not take a look at small, portable bluetooth speakers, like the new Satechi BT bluetooth speaker.
Satechi is a leading mobile accessory manufacturer, and with their latest gadget, the Satechi BT bluetooth portable speaker, they have made an accessory that might find its way onto many audio enthusiast desks around the country in the coming months. Weighing in at an ultra light 3.3 ounces, this USB rechargeable bluetooth speaker is very portable, easily fitting into most bags for easy transport. The battery provides up to 6-hours of playback between charges, and if you are using it as a little office speaker, perhaps to spread some Christmas cheer around the office, then you can easily charge it using USB cable from your computer.
Using bluetooth, all you have to do is pair it with your bluetooth enabled mobile phone or computer, and you are set to start streaming music straight away. Unlike with AirPlay speakers, there is no need for wifi or any set up besides the pairing of the device. For those without bluetooth enabled media players, you can also connect using a standard 3.5mm line in.
I’m hoping that in the sound department the Satechi BT portable speaker will also surprise, as Satechi has loaded it with their signature Bass Expansion System, using a vacuum chamber to mimic the acoustic properties of a subwoofer. As soon as i have had a chance to do a hands-on review i will come back with a full rating of the sound performance.
The Satechi BT portable speaker is currently listed as unavailable on Amazon UK, but according to their website it is listed at a price around £30, which could be a steal of the audio performance lives up to the hype around the specifications. It should however soon become more available here in the UK as well.
