Russell Brand gives new meaning to ‘bricked’ iPhone

It does not happen very often, but every now and then you hear about ‘bricked’ iPhones, usually as a result of issues during software updates etc. Comedian Russell Brand however have given the word ‘bricked iPhone’ a completely new meaning as the actor is booked by New Orleans Police for simple criminal damage after taking an iPhone from a photographer and throwing it through the window of a downtown law firm.

Brand who are in town to shoot a new movie is accused of grabbing a photographers phone and tossing it through a window, most likely a case of paparazzi rage, resulting in a police report being filed and Brand turning himself in before posting bail and paying for the damage to the window.

On Twitter the star took the opportunity to comment on the incident by writing; “Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iPhone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory.”
