Rescued miners in Chile receive free iPod from Apple

The whole world has been following the recent events in Chile and we are all happy to see all the miners rescued and seemingly doing well. But Joe Public is not the only one with an interest in the story, as companies like Oakley and Apple are ready to provide them with freebies.

A French report today claims that Apple CEO Steve Jobs are giving each rescued miner a free iPod as a personal gift, but no word of which iPod, although most likely it will be one of the new iPod Touch 4.

I’m sure you will all join me in wishing the rescued miners all the freebies companies like Apple and others will give them after what they have been through. And lets also hope that none of the companies try to spin this story to their own marketing advantage to make a few easy bucks on the back of what these miners have been through.

Apple joins a line of many other companies ready to provide the rescued miners with a break, including Oakley providing them with sunglasses for when they surfaced again.

It is also rumored that all the miners will publish a book with their story together, which i am sure will be a bestseller, and hopefully provide for a safer life for them and their families.

  1. A fantastic blog post, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on that. And he in fact purchased me dinner because I found it for him… smile.. So let me rephrase that: Thankx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
