Ebay mobile iPhone application is one of the most popular apps in the iTunes App Store, and now Ebay has been doing some important work on improving it, including bringing push notifications following the upgrades to iPhone OS 3.0. Active Ebay users will find the upgraded iPhone application much improved, although there are still some room for improvements that Ebay is working on.
The Ebay Mobile iPhone app has been around since the launch of the iTunes App Store, providing us with on-the-go buying and selling of million of items featured on Ebay. The app has allowed you to find items in the listings, check the prices, place your bids, and follow your activity in your account, including asking and answering queries from other Ebay users about the items. With the upgrade you can also turn on push notifications, which will prompt messages when you have been outbid or when an auction is nearing its completion, making on-the-go management of your Ebay business easier, stopping you from missing out on your purchases etc.
Some of the other new features that have opened up with the new iPhone OS 3.0 is the in-app payment of some items through Paypal, allowing you to purchase the item within the application instead of having to go onto a computer or use the iPhone/iPod Touch built in browser. The new Ebay iPhone app upgrade will also allow you to search and view in detail completed listings.
There are more good news to come as well as Ebay is working on providing functionality for using the iPhone camera and iPhone images to create Ebay listings through the app.
