Pure extends their Jongo wireless system with new T640B speaker and A140B HiFi adapter

Pure is launching a couple of new additions to their Jongo wireless system in the new T640B speaker and A140B HiFi adapter to go along with the existing Jongo S340B at CES 2013, hoping perhaps to become a slightly more affordable alternative to Sonos.

Pure Jongo wireless speaker line up extended

The Pure Jongo system allows you to build up a home audio system around a single unit, sending audio to multiple speakers in multiple rooms, using either Bluetooth or over WiFi using the Pure Connect App.

The new Pure Jongo T640B is aimed to be the central part to any home speaker set up, featuring 100W of power output, and both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Inside the unit there are dual custom 5-inch drivers and dual concentric tweeters. A separate and optional stand allows you to display the T640B in either landscape or portrait mode, or you can go with a wall bracket to wall mount it.

With the Pure Jongo A140B HiFi adapter you can also take advantage of existing audio products to build further on your wireless home system. This wireless adapter connects to any existing hifi system or amp, features digital coaxial and optical connections, a 24-but built-in DAC, and dual phono analogue audio outputs. Like the speaker it supports both Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

Both the Jongo T640B speaker (£250) and the A140B HiFi adapter (£100) is expected to become available later this year. The smaller Pure Jongo S340B portable wireless speaker is already available at just under £150 from amongst other Amazon UK.
