Philips continues to grow their Fidelio range of speakers with new stylish additions, and amongst the new additions this year is the Fidelio SoundTowers, offering up both 30-pin and Lightning docking as well as Bluetooth aptX streaming.
With the Fidelio SoundTowers, Philips is aiming it at the consumers that want high-fidelity experience, but without it taking up the space of more traditional floor standing speakers. They have also taken consideration for the many different technologies out there that are likely to want to take advantage of the Fidelio SoundTowers. That is why they come with dual docking station (30-pin and Lightning), CD player, and Bluetooth streaming with both aptX and AAC compatibility. There is no AirPlay in this model, but if the aptX codec should make up for that if your audio player supports it. They have also included FM radio, USB port, optical, coaxial, and analog inputs.
The Fidelio SoundTowers are carefully designed to deliver a two-way-floor-standing experience that matches what we have come to expect from a Fidelio system. Speaker set up includes dual 25mm soft dome tweeters and 4 x 108mm polypropylene mid-woofers with carefully placed bass ports to allow the woofers to deliver lower frequencies. Powering the speakers are dual 80W Class D amps.
The Philips Fidelio SoundTowers are expected out in October, retailing at around €799
