Panasonic is at CES 2013 with a wide range of new products, including a new stereo and wireless speaker portfolio that includes AirPlay speakers, Bluetooth speakers, and some new Lightning Dock speakers.
The Panasonic SC-NP10 is designed to work as a 2.1 channel surround sound system for tablets, with a slot at the top of the speaker for resting the tablet on (not a docking station). Audio streaming is done using Bluetooth technology, with Near Field Stereo Sound utilized for producing realistic sound from a close proximity. A 3.2-inch subwoofer is integrated to produce robust bass, and the Bluetooth ® Re-Master technology is included to restore frequencies otherwise lost in the Bluetooth transmission. The Panasonic SC-NP10 wireless speaker is expected out in April with price to be confirmed.
Panasonics new NE series of wireless speakers features a wider streaming support that includes AirPlay, DLNA and Bluetooth. There are two models in the NE3 and NE5, with the latter also equipped with a Lightning Dock for the latest iOS products. Both models feature integrated subwoofer and cone speakers built with bamboo fibers. The new Panasonic NE series of wireless speakers is expected out in March with pricing to be confirmed.
For those interested in Lightning compatible speaker docks, Panasonic also have the HC28 Micro System that supports docking of the likes of iPhone 5, new iPod Touch, and the iPad Mini amongst other. In the HC product range you will also find the HC38 Bluetooth speaker, and the top model HC58 with both Bluetooth and AirPlay streaming. The HC series is also expected to become available in March with retail price to be confirmed.
