NAD delivered a great speaker dock in the Viso 1. Now they have listened carefully to their customers, ditched the docking station, and replaced it with AirPlay streaming as well as Bluetooth Apt-X in the Viso 1 AP (also found on the original).
Since the launch of the Viso 1 they have found that a lot of customers used the streaming capabilities more than actually docking their devices. Plus, they now have to deal with a wide range of possible customers across Lightning and 30-pin Apple devices, not to mention those that don’t have Apple devices. Suddenly ditching the dock seems the wise choice, adding more streaming options instead. They have also added a USB port that will allow for charging of devices, and there is 24/96 digital optical input allowing you to connect other devices as well.
The dual 2 3.4-inch drivers of the Viso 1 AP have their own dedicated amps and separate housing inside the unit to ensure no interference between the drivers. In addition to the dual drivers, the 5 3/4-inch woofer is there to ensure a good low frequencies performance. Total power output of the system is 80W (2x15W plus 50W for woofer).
The NAD Viso 1 AP is available in black or white finish.
