Philips introduces new range of Fidelio wireless speakers with AirPlay

Berlin, Germany – Philips continues to demonstrate its dedication to bringing you an authentic sound experience whilst recognizing your changing and individual needs with its new Fidelio wireless speaker range, which will be unveiled at this year’s IFA. Using Apple’s AirPlay®, the Philips Fidelio wireless speakers give you both an amazing sound and hassle-free access to all your iTunes music. You can seamlessly stream music from iTunes on your Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch over a home Wi-Fi network to your Fidelio wireless speaker. AirPlay* allows you to play your music simultaneously on every speaker, in every room. If you want to change tracks, you can simply use the remote control, which complements the speaker design and finishing.

The new range includes:

The visually impressive Fidelio SoundRing with AirPlay (DS3880W) not only stands out in your home but produces a natural and immersive sound that radiates equally throughout the room. Engineered to completely fill your room with superb sound, Philips SoundRing technology comprises a central bass sound pipe and four high definition drivers – two front-firing and two side-firing. Designed to look good from any angle, the Fidelio speaker will suit any space and every lifestyle. Plus, it features a rechargeable battery and charging cradle, so you can enjoy your music anywhere you like for up to five hours.

Equally stylish, the Fidelio SoundRing with AirPlay (DS3800W) reproduces music with the same precision, but without the rechargeable battery function.

Smart and chic, the Fidelio SoundCurve with AirPlay (DS8800W) delivers an exceptional sound performance. You’ll enjoy a superb crystal-clear sound thanks to the carefully crafted SoundCurve whilst precisely tuned bass pipes will give you a deep, tight bass reproduction.

Philips introduced the Fidelio SoundSphere docking speakers with AirPlay (DS9800W) in March. The amazing sound quality of the Philips Fidelio SoundSphere docking speaker lies in its design. The curve of the separate speakers with their unique free-floating tweeters on top of both speakers mean Philips Fidelio SoundSphere delivers sound in all directions for a deeper and wider audio impression with minimized interferences.

*AirPlay requires a MAC or PC with iTunes 10.1 or later or an iPhone4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (2nd, 3rd or 4th generation), iPad or iPad 2 with iOS 4.2 or later.
