Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus – omnidirectional sound

logitech-pure-fi-express

The Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus iPod and iPhone speaker dock is not the biggest and loudest docking station in the market, but there is a reason why this one is among the most popular iPod speaker docks with top online retailers – omnidirectional sound at an affordable price.

Design and functionality

Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus speaker dock

Don’t expect anything like a B&W Zeppelin or similar from the Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus, but then again the price class is a much lower one as well. There is not really any stand out design separating this from many of the other iPod speaker docks in the market, but sometimes all we are after is value for money.

The Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus is not packed with features, but it brings the basics we are all after, and does so well.

Sound experience

One of the key stand out features from the Logitech Pure-Fi Express Plus is the quality of the sound for its price class, the main reason why it is also a popular unit.

The omnidirectional speakers means that wherever you are in the room you will be able to have the same sound experience, a good feature if you have the speaker dock centrally placed in the room instead of in a bookshelf etc. Given that it is also a portable docking station with the ability to run on battery power, and is small enough for it, the omnidirectional audio technology is a good feature.

  1. I’ve never had any iStuff at all… But if I was to have one it would certainly be an iPod.
Thanks for sharing some information about the product. Getting suitable information can be tricky, but your post certainly helped me understand how the iStuff works :)

I purchased an Ipod Nano 6th Generation (with touch screen) and disappointed with the Gear4 House Party as the remote did not work properly (only controls volume on the 6th grn) and the dock connector broke after 24 hours. I purchased the Logitech Pure-Fi Express as a replacement – it has a better dock connector, the sound is just as good if not better, it has a clock (!) and all the remote functions work even on the 6th generation Nano.. I love it !
