The wireless speaker market, and especially bluetooth speakers, have been competing about who can go smallest and most portable over the recent year. While the JBL Soundfly BT might not be as portable as some of the other, including the Jawbone Jambox, it plugs directly into the wall power outlet, bringing 20W stereo output.
JBL’s Soundfly BT is currently with the FCC, so there is still a lot we don’t know about this small wall outlet bluetooth speaker, but the concept seems interesting, and if the performance matches, this could be a very interesting concept. Until we have the full information on the Soundfly BT, here are some of the things that we would like to see featured:
- Built in rechargeable battery that is charged when you plug the speaker into the wall outlet
- The ability to pair several of these speakers together for a multi-room listening experience
- A price point that hopefully is lower than many of the current portable bluetooth speakers
- Good audio performance (will not ask for great audio performance, as that is virtually impossible from a bluetooth speaker)
Now all that is left is to wait for the official information on the JBL Soundfly BT, including the release date and price point.
