JBL announces On Air Wireless AirPlay speaker dock

We have actually reported on the JBL On Air AirPlay speaker dock before as it was heading over to the FCC for approval, but now JBL has released their first AirPlay speaker into the wild for consumers to get their hands on.

The JBL On Air has a very distinct look with its almost steering wheel style design. At the same time thought it is recognizable as a JBL speaker dock. The HALO (horizontal acoustic level optimization) design has a purpose which according to JBL will bring a richer sound across a wide listening area.

At the front it features a small screen that take advantage of the AirPlay technologies ability to also transfer and display information about the song/artist/album that you are listening to. There is also of course a physical iPod docking station in case you want to charge your iPod/iPhone as well.

I will be back with more details and review of what the JBL On Air sounds like when had a chance to listen to it.
