Griffin Evolve Wireless Sound System - the evolution of sound
By admin • Jul 9th, 2008 • Category: iPod Speaker DocksThe Griffin Evolve is another iPod wireless sound system and dock that continues the trend of more and more wireless sound system solutions that comes with an iPod Dock.
The Griffin Evolve consist of and iPod dock charging base and two wireless cube shaped speakers that you can place wherever you want without worrying about wire placements etc. The speaker cubes have their own long-life lithium-ion battery pack that delivers about 10 hours of music between charges, which you just dock the speakers with the base unit to charge, just like you charge the iPod itself. The cubes use RF radio technology to broadcast the sound from the iPod dock to the wireless speakers.
Other technical features are:
- 120Hz - 20KHz Frequency Response
- 12 watts RMS built in amplifier
- Up to 150ft wireless sound range
The sound picture is quite good, with a strong, yet subtle bass that complements the overall sound better than what we have experienced with many other iPod dock systems.
We have given the Griffin Evolve a Republic Rating of 7 of 10. Its strenghts are definately the ability to move the speakers around the house and create your own personal sound.
