Gear4 DUO a new two-in-one iPod dock station
By admin • May 9th, 2008 • Category: iPod Speaker DocksBritish consumer electronic manufacturer Gear4 yesterday launched its latest Apple iPod docking station that doubles both as a portable system and as a high quality home stereo system.
The Gear4 DUO iPod speaker dock is designed so it normally comes with a 2.1 channel system with a 20watt subwoofer. However what sets this speaker dock apart is that the front satelite panel with 18watts detaches from the rest of the system and turns itself into a sleak and tiny portable speaker unit. Unlike many other portable iPod speaker docks that runs on disposable batteries, the Gear4 DUO comes with a lithium-ion battery that charges itself when the front panel is attached to the rest of the system.
The Gear4 DUO is supposed to work with all modern iPod’s, including the iPodTouch. Expected retail price in the UK will be around £150.
We will come back with a full review of the Gear4 DUO once we have had a chance to test it. We will then also provide you with details on where to buy it and exact price.
