Download the new iPhone OS 3.0 for iPhone and iPod Touch today
By admin • Jun 17th, 2009 • Category: Apple iPodIt has been a few months since we wrote about the great new features brought by the new iPhone OS 3.0 for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and today the upgrade is finally available to download through iTunes, and i’m even going to upgrade my iPod Touch despite the charge.
The iPhone OS 3.0 upgrade will be free for iPhone owners, while iPod Touch owners will have to pay around $10 for the upgrade that brings lot of new features to the iPhone and iPod Touch.

- Copy and paste functionality
- In-app micropayments
- Improved GPS
- Push notificiations
- Improved P2P networking
- 3G tethering
- Landscape keyboard

For those of us with an iPod Touch the OS upgrade will also release the hidden bluetooth functionality of the iPod Touch.
To upgrade follow these simple steps:
- Open up iTunes 8
- Connect your iPhone or iPod Touch
- In the summary panel, click on check for upgrades
- Click download and install - the rest does itself!
