Apple releases upgrade 2.2.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch – a minor update

Apple has now released version 2.2.1 of their operating system for the iPhone and iPod Touch which you can now upgrade to through iTunes. Release 2.2.1 is not considered to be a significant upgrade, but it does include several bug fixes, including Safari stability issues.

Many users might have been looking forward to copy and paste feature with the upgrade from Apple to the iPhone and iPod Touch operating system, but we will have to wait a bit longer as it was not featured in upgrade 2.2.1. Instead it covered several bug fixes to Safar, and issues with images attached to emails not displaying in Camera Roll.

Other bugs fixed in upgrade 2.2.1 are issues that caused Apple Lossless (ALAC) audio files to skip during iPod Touch playback.

To get the latest 2.2.1 upgrade for your iPhone or iPod Touch all you have to do is connect your iPhone/iPod Touch to iTunes and click the ‘check for updates’ button.
