Businessweek today had an article referring to a note from Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster predicting that Apple will have another of their special iPod events in September and that we will see new iPods out before the end of the year.
Looking at the rumors from a business analyst perspective, he talks about how the Apple share has historically seen a big jump in price after the September events and launches of new iPod models. His prediction this time is that we will see capacity upgrades for the different iPods, and especially for the iPod Shuffle, supporting our earlier post about the 4gb iPod Shuffle.
He is not so sure about a new iPod Nano and thinks it is more likely that we will see a reworked iPod Touch at a pricepoint closer to the new 3g iPhone.

Back to the future for the iPod Nano?
