We are talking about millions of Skype user on the iPhone and iPod Touch wordwide communicating with each other without the need of a computer, only with the use of an internet connection and their iPhone/iPod Touch.
Since its start Skype has revolutionized the way we communicate with each other across communities and countries, not to mention how their fresh approach to the market has also changed the way normal mobile operators and phone companies deal with customers and the prices they charge for their services. As a foreigner i appreciate the value Skype brings in terms of keeping in touch with family and friends across the world.
With the possibility of a next generation iPhone coming with video conferencing functionality, the Skype App might get closer to its computer version, with the possiblity of video chatting with friends and family, taking communication on the iPhone and iPod Touch to a whole new level.
