LED Flash and Multitasking for iPhone 4G 4th generation

There is  no better way to tell that we have started a new year then all the iPhone 4G 4th generation rumors that are starting to circulate, with the latest ones speculating in LED Flash memory for the new 5 megapixel camera, and limited multitasking indicating that Apple has found a solution for background processing of apps.

We have earlier reported on rumored testing of iPhone 4G in the San Francisco area, and that it is likely to feature an improved 5 megapixel camera, upgrade to 64GB, and support 4G network connection and be Verizon friendly. With the latest rumors we are starting to get a picture of what is shaping up to be a really nicely upgraded iPhone 4G.

AppleInsider has picked up information that Apple is looking to pick up a serious amount of LED flash camera components, assumed to be used for the 4th generation iPhone 4G and also likely the 4th generation iPod Touch G4. At the moments it is speculated that Philips Lumileds lighting sector is believed to be in the lead in securing the contract thanks to their Luxeon LED camera flash technology, and it is commonly coupled with 5 megapixel cameras, like the one rumored for the iPhone 4G.

Meanwhile at CES there is no Apple, but they are still on everyones tongue as the next generation iPhone is widely discussed, especially concerning Verizon compatibility and multitasking with app background processing, finally allowing you to run several apps at once. Multitasking was one of the hot topics prior to the launch of the iPhone 3GS last summer, especially given that competitor Palm Pre offers it, and among Apple iPhone fans it was highly requested, so fingers crossed that the technology in the 4th gen iPhone will support it.

Qualcomm’s new dual CDMA/GSM chipset is expected to be ready in time for the summer release of the 4th generation iPhone 4G so all that is needed now is for Apple and Verizon to agree on a deal.
