Put the iPhone in your Tesco basket – supermarket giant to offer iPhone in UK
By admin • Nov 25th, 2009 • Category: iPhoneIt has just been announced that Tesco is hoping to sell the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in the UK before Christmas, using their Tesco Mobile joint venture with O2 as a platform for the Tesco iPhone.
This announcement comes on the back of the iPhone on Orange being launched earlier this month, and earlier announcements that Vodafone will start selling the iPhone at the start of 2010.

So far there has been no official announcement in terms of prices and tariffs on the Tesco iPhone, other than reports that it will be price competitive, just like other products you can put in your basket at Tesco.
Personally I have never considered buying a mobile phone from Tesco, or any other supermarket for that matter, but should they bring a price war to the iPhone market in the UK than it is more than welcomed, as the launch of the iPhone 3GS on Orange did not deliver anything in terms of reducing prices on the iPhone itself or the monthly tariffs.
We will keep following the developments of the Tesco iPhone 3GS deal. In the meantime you can check our UK iPhone 3GS buyers guide, including prices and tariffs from current providers.
