iPhone rumors and increased interest in iPhone OS 3.0
By admin • Apr 7th, 2009 • Category: iPhoneAs the summer inches closer and closer the buzz and interest around the new iPhone OS 3.0 and the potential new iPhone 3rd generation increases with the latest rumors covering improved 3.2 megapixel camera, improver internet connection speed, and of course video recording and editing.
The new iPhone OS 3.0 has already stirred some heavy interest in the iPhone with Computerworld reporting that the previews of the new OS 3.0 has already swayed 20% of mobile phone owners to buy Apple. The poll that took answers from over 4,000 voters indicated that the features of the new iPhone OS 3.0 could sway them into switching to an Apple iPhone. Popular answers among the pollers where for a cheaper 16gb iPhone and an upgraded 32gb iPhone.
An improved camera for the iPhone has been rumored for a while considering that the current iPhone 3G’s camera is quite a bit behind many of the other mobile phones in the market, and one of the most requested features for a new generation iPhone is video conference calling and video recording. Combine that with improved wireless internet connection through 802.11n chip and improved 3G network connection, we could be looking at some great new functionality for the next 3rd gen iPhone.
One of the latest rumors around the coming iPhone is FM transmitter as part of the improved wireless network chip. This could mean that you can listen to radio on the iPhone, but more importantly perhaps is the opportunity to transmit music from your iPhone to other devices, such as your car stereo etc. This will certainly be a much appreciated feature among all those that currently use adapters for connecting their iPhone or iPod Touch to external devices.
We will continue to keep you up to date on the latest rumors around the iPhone and coming iPod models.

Following on from the rumors above, reports are coming in from China that Apple has placed an order for 4 million new iPhones with delivery towards end of Q2, which is towards end of June. This is in line wtih earlier rumors about a June announcement of at least one new iPhone.
The rumor also stipulates that we might be talking about an order for maybe 3 different iPhones, with one being the new iPhone 3G, whilst one of the others being the much rumored iPhone Nano.
For now these are only rumors, but it is not like Apple rumors have not become true before.
