By admin • Oct 27th, 2008 • Category: Third party applications, iPhoneHow about a trip to see the seven wonders of the world on the commute back from work or during a slightly boring university lecture. Now you can with the newly relased Google Earth application for the iPhone and the iPod Touch, available for free at the Apple Application Store.
Google Earth has been a success since its launch, providing all internet users with great imagery and searchability of the whole world. Now Google has taken all the great features of Google Earth, combined it with the usability of the iPhone and the iPod Touch interface, to deliver the world at your fingertips where ever you are. You can now explore the pyramids in Egypt, or go down fifth avenue in New York right there on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
You can also use the nifty little add-on “my location” that will enable you to look at geo-located photos from your current location, say should you be standing on a busy shopping street in London, or perhaps in the stands at Old Trafford killing some time in the half time break.
We are sure that going forward there will be plenty of nifty new things coming for Google Earth on the mobile platforms, so keep checking back to find information about the latest news and application updates.
