It looks like something big is happening on or around the 16th August as Apple is looking to hire temporary sales staff for their retail store according to listings on Reed.co.uk.
Although this is also the period when a lot of back to school offers might be taking place, the fact that they are looking specifically for iPhone sales staff for an “exciting project” for the period of 16th August to end of October could be another hint at the arrival of the iPhone 5 and possibly the iPhone 4S.
With the start date being 16th August, which is a Tuesday, i would think that release date for a potential new iPhone would be in the days following as i assume that they would have to give the new staff some training etc in advance of having them effectively selling a new product, although part of the role includes attending a 4-day training event in London.
The recruitment agency dealing with these temporary roles is Gekko Ltd and they are paying £75 per day, so head over there if you are interested in doing some retail work with Apple.
As always there is no word from Apple as to any plans to launch any new products at this stage, but it would be quite surprising if they released the iPhone 5 by mid August, as all rumors have been around start of September. Perhaps they are moving the whole event forward, to hopefully include a new iPod Touch 5 as well.
We will keep you posted on the latest developments right here.
