iPhone 5 on 15th October according to Orange CEO

For a while now it has been rumored that the iPhone 5 will start retailing in mid-October, which fits in with information revealed by Orange CEO Stephane Richard in a tv interview in France that the iPhone will arrive on Saturday the 15th October.

The information should be taken with a pinch of salt as he has actually talked about unreleased Apple products before and been wrong. That said the date largely fits in with earlier rumors, although it falls on a Saturday and historically Apple has launched their new products during the week. Perhaps this year it will be a saturday to try and not disrupt business for other companies who will have missing workers as they are queuing up for the iPhone 5.

If the date is correct we got about a month wait ahead of us, and it will fit in nicely with the end of my current iPhone 4 contract.
