With the popularity of the Apple iPad since its release about 8 months ago, more and more docking station and iPod speakers producers have started focusing on delivering iPad docking stations as well. Altec Lansing is a well known producer in the market and now they are bringing their award winning Octiv Stage MP450 iPad speaker dock to market.

The Octiv Stage MP450 is an iPad optimized docking station that won the Innovations Design and Engineering Award at this years CEA. Some of the unique and interesting features of the Octiv Stage iPad speaker dock is the docking arm itself that supports charging your iPad while you can still rotate it between portrait and landscape orientation. The unique docking arm also allows you to tilt, providing you with the ability to use multiple viewing angles and a better typing experience.
At the base of the Altec Octiv Stage iPad speaker dock you will find the speakers themselves, which consists of dual two-inch drivers that sits within a ported enclosure for better low end response. It also features a 3.5mm input jack for use with other audio sources, and Audio Alignment technology for improved experience of both audio dialogue as well as music (if using Skype or listening to Podcasts, watching videos etc.).
