Is there an iPad Pro with 4k screen in the pipeline?

Somehow it does not come as a surprise that Apple might be working on a Pro version of the iPad, just like they have done with the MacBook range. The latest rumours are that Apple is testing different screen technologies to go with the IPad Pro, including so a called 4k screens with a resolution around 3840×2160.

iPad Pro concept

It’s Chinese website Padnews that is reporting that Apple is testing out options for screen technology for the rumoured iPad Pro. Only a few months ago the company announced the iPad Air and iPad mini with retina display, but innovation never stops in this industry.

To go with possible 2k or 4k screen technology, it’s also rumoured that we could be looking at two new models with a 12.9-inch screen. This would firmly take the iPad into the same territory of the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, but perhaps they are looking to provide it as a touchscreen alternative, likely coming with a nicely integrated wireless keyboard solution. We should never say never, but at the moment this seems a bit far fetched.

It could also be that Apple will use 4k technology and go even bigger with an Apple iPad Tv option. Imagine that, a fully touchscreen operated tv that would run all your favourite apps.
