iOS 5.0.1 with bug fixes released to public

Following several reported issues with iOS 5, with iPhone 4S battery issues being the major one, Apple has today released their bug fix update iOS 5.0.1 to the public following a period of availability for developers.

It is TiPb that is reporting the official release of iOS 5.0.1 which fixes amongst other the following issues:

  • Bugs affecting battery life on iPhone 4S
  • Multitasking gestures for original iPad
  • Bugs with documents on iCloud
  • Improved voice recognition for Australian users of dictation

The iOS 5.0.1 release is compatible with the following iOS devices:

I’m looking forward to see if the firmware upgrade runs automatically tonight when i charge my iPhone 4, which is one of the new features that was released with iOS 5 earlier this year.
