Bluetooth is a popular category at this year CES, including Bluetooth speakers, and iLuv is there with 3 new models themselves in the Mo’Beats HD, MobiOut and MobiCup.
iLuv is no stranger to the Bluetooth speaker market, and with 3 new models they are looking to make an even bigger splash in the only streaming technology that so far is widely supported by most smartphone and tablets, regardless of operating platform.
The iLuv Mo’Beats HD wireless speaker features SRS WOW technology, dual full-range drivers, Elliptical Passive Bass Radiator, rechargeable lithium-ion battery for up to 8 hours playback (charging through USB), and has a 3.5mm aux in for wired connection when that is preferred. It also features a cradle functionality, allowing you to rest your smartphone/tablet at the top of the speaker. The Mo’Beats HD is expected to become available around May with price to be confirmed.
The iLuv MobiOut is a Bluetooth speaker more in the line of the Jawbone Jambox etc. in its design. It is small, portable, has a splash resistant coating, built-in microphone for hands free calling, and Jump-Start technology that allows for a quick charge of your phone when needed. MobiOut promises high-fidelity sound with great portability, and the price point is set to around $129 (est £100) when it becomes available later this month.
MobiCup is the final new Bluetooth speaker member of the iLuv family. Designed to fit in your cupholder (hence the name I guess) it is for use on-the-go. Like the MobiOut it is splash resistant, at the top of the unit there are controls for the likes of hands-free, volume, play/pause etc. The 360-degree speaker is said to deliver crisp and clear sound through Bluetooth streaming. It also supports 3.5mm aux-in. The MobiCup should be available from the end of the month at around $59.99 (est £50).
