House of Marley first presented their range of speaker docks and headphones at CES 2011 and that included their top model One Foundation Speaker dock that also comes with AirPlay technology.
Design, features & sound
The people at House of Marley are doing their best to ensure that the new range of products lives up to the legacy of Bob Marley both in sound and respecting the earth and the environment, so you will find that the One Foundation Speaker dock is made from polished FSC-certified wood. This also ensures that the quality of build feels top-notch and in many ways makes the speaker dock stand out from the hundreds of other speaker docks in the market.
To make sure that you can enjoy your Marley music collection they have packed the One Foundation speaker dock with DSP sound processing 1-inch aluminum dome 5-inch tweeter and subwoofer that outputs 100w RMS, providing plenty of opportunities for some serious ‘jammin’.
With AirPlay functionality you can also enjoy listening to the speakers without docking your iPod/iPhone/iPad, streaming all your favourite tunes from your iOS device or iTunes on your computer directly to the speaker located anywhere in the house.
I will be back with views on sound performance as soon as the One Foundation Speaker is available.
The House of Marley One Foundation speaker dock is not yet released and i don’t know when it will become available in the UK market. Their website currently says that the range of speakers and headphones will become available in August 2011.
Listed US price for the One Foundation Speaker is $399.99 so i would expect a UK price around £350, which is not bad compared with other AirPlay speakers.
* This is not a full review as the model has not been tested hands on and as such is based on product information and my own view of the collective information available on the system.
