I’m a fan of Geneva Labs speaker docks, but let’s face it, these days it’s all about wireless speakers, and it looks like the guys at Geneva Labs have picked up on that too, announcing wireless versions of their popular Model M, L, and XL speakers.
The Geneva Sound Model M wireless uses bluetooth for streaming audio. Gone is the dock, but they have retained the FM radio (with DAB included for European customers) and the digital alarm clock functionality. Audio set up includes dual 1-inch tweeters and 4-inch woofers, offering up 60W RMS power output from four dedicated amps. Price wise it will set you back £499 / $599.
If simple Bluetooth streaming is not enough for you, then the next model up, the Geneva Sound Model L, also supports high quality streams using aptX and AAC codecs for devices that supports it. You also get a CD player, and audio set up includes dual 1-inch tweeters and 5.25-inch woofers, offering up 180W RMS power output from four dedicated amps. Price wise it will set you back £1,149 / $1,199.
US customers can also get their hands on the even more powerful Model XL in a wireless version that uses Bluetooth aptX and AAC codecs for high quality streams. The Model XL comes with an impressive 346W of power output, but it will set you back a massive $2,299.
