Would you name your kid iPod? Or perhaps Nano?
By admin • Jun 11th, 2008 • Category: iPodWhile surfing through some news feeds this morning i came across this funny article from TheStar (Canada) about people naming their kids after famous brands.It talks about growing up having a ‘weird’ name, and about what logic is behind the parents decision to name their kids after brands, which i agree with the author that there is no logic for. It even talks about this research done in the US that shows that people with unusual names are more likely to commit a felony.
I for one would never even consider naming myself, or anyone else for that matter, after a famous brand. Imagine growing up with the name iPod. Being named the same as a gadget most kids would have in their pocket. But if anyone out there wants to name themselves or their town for iPodRepublic i’m sure we can arrange to give them a profile on our site.
By the way, if anyone out there is actually called iPod or similar we would love to get an interview or perhaps your favourite playlist from your iPod.
