Limited price competition on Apple ipod’s in the UK market

Our recent price comparison on Apple ipod’s updated today for the UK market shows that the price competition among the top merchants online in the UK is very limited.

Many of the top merchants in the UK have almost the same prices across all ranges of ipod’s, including the ipod touch, ipod nano and the ipod classic. Amazon.co.uk seems to be leading the market on the online side, being shadowed by amongst others Pixmania. High street retailers with online operations seems to be lagging slightly behing in the price competition, with our research covering Currys and John Lewis at this stage. Checks on price comparison websites gives us pretty much the same results as well, concluding that there is very limited price competition on the Apple ipod in the UK market these days.
