Children with iPods are targets for criminals
By admin • May 15th, 2008 • Category: iPodAccording to research conducted by the Design Council, one in eight children between the ages of 11 and 16 has been the victim of theft of electrical gadgets, such as the iPod or a mobile phone.
The research also showed that a third of 11 year olds in the UK carries a fashionable gadget, like the iPod, worth more than £100. With this in mind it actually makes the above statistic even worse.
The Design Council is now looking at how they can use this research to help reduce the chances of kids getting their iPods etc. stolen, considering that over 80% of them get stolen while the children have them visible.
