Elipson Timber wireless speaker – a Habitat collaboration

Elipson Timber bluetooth speaker

We are big fans of accessories that have design inspiration, so when we came across the Elipson Timber wireless speaker we all got a bit excited. Beautiful things can happen when you combine high-end French audio with Habitat design inspiration.

Elipson Timber bluetooth speaker

This compact wireless portable speaker is the result of a cooperation between Habitat and Elipson that was presented at this years IFA in Berlin. The hexagon shape has a wooden casing, as visible from both ends of the speaker, and otherwise clad in white cloth. It’s all very stylish.

On the inside, the Elipson Timber features dual 3-inch drivers and a 15W stereo amp. For this size and price, we were expecting a bit more power, but we will await the judgment until we have had a chance to listen to it. It is primarly relying on Bluetooth 2.1 for streaming audio, but it also features 3.5mm input and a built in USB port for charging your iOS device.

Price & availability

The Elipson Timber is expected to retail around the €300 mark. We will be back with release date and where to buy when available.
