With only weeks to go before Christmas rumors are surfacing that Apple might be planning an upgrade to the recently released 3rd gen iPod Touch, perhaps providing the camera that was heavily expected for the launch of the 3g iPod Touch. We have looked at why this rumour could be true.

Unofficial speed test confirm that the new 3rd gen iPod Touch is much faster than its predecessor, which is good news for Apple in convincing the gamers that the iPod Touch is a good platform. The test reveals that the new iPod Touch operates faster at pretty much every level.

An application analysis company has recently spotted application testing of what is believed to be the next generation iPod Touch 3.0. Now this is not the first time that references to the 3rd generation iPod Touch has been made, but it is the first testing with devices referred to as “iPod 3,1″ has been spotted.
