Cambridge Audio Minx Air – two new AirPlay and Bluetooth models

London based Cambridge Audio has revealed two new wireless speakers, both featuring both AirPlay and Bluetooth support (SBC, AAC, aptX), expected to arrive on the market sometime in the new year.

Cambridge Audio Minx Air speaker

Both of the compact Minx Air systems are targeting the growing smartphone/tablet streaming market, working as both AirPlay speakers and Bluetooth speakers. The top model Minx Air 200 comes with a power output of 200W, two BMR drivers and a 6-inch subwoofer to provide plenty of audio power for the wireless home. The smaller Minx Air 100 also features two BMR drivers, but no subwoofer and half the power output at 100W. Still that is pretty decent for most home use.

Cambridge Audio Minx Air speakers also features internet radio giving you access to over 20,000 radio stations. Control is done through associated iOS and Android apps. Neither of the system have a physical docking station associated with them. Fingers crossed that both systems live up to the audio performance that is generally associated with Cambridge Audio.

Pricing for both systems are yet to be confirmed, but we should know more in the new year.
