B&W Zeppelin Review: Close to perfection

B&W Zeppelin

What can I possibly say about the B&W Zeppelin ipod speaker that has not been said before? Words often comes short with this one, as personally I find it very stylish and sleek with its Zeppelin lines.

B&W Zeppelin

Design and features

Created by the world renowned speaker manufacturer Bowers and Wilkins, the Zeppelin iPod speaker combines eye catching style with world class technology for the ultimate in compact sound system for Apple devices.

The Zeppelin shape that has given the name to this iPod speaker dock both gives it its uniqueness as well as shaped for functional audio performance, creating the optimum space for sound. For years now this has been the system that most Apple gadget owners have been dreaming about.

Inside the B&W Zeppelin you will find five intregal speakers, including 50watt bass speaker, 25watt midrange and 2x25watt tweeter, delivers a crisp, deep and lifelike stereo sound regardless of the space you play it in.

Combining the 40 years of speaker experience into one stylish package has resulted in the B&W Zeppelin.

Sound experience

There is not much to criticize in terms of sound experience from the B&W Zeppelin, as personally i find it well balanced, with enough bass power to deliver that extra punch that i personally like, but not overpowering the more subtle tones. As with most speaker systems like this, i find that you get the best audio experience at the higher end of the volume scale.

Price information

Price has not changed much either for the B&W Zeppelin, a testament to how it has stood up to the test of new systems coming onto the market. It is currently available from amongst other:

There might be the systems out there that can match the audio of the B&W Zeppelin, but there are very few that pulls off the combination of great sound quality and distinctive elegant design in the same way. That is also why the B&W Zeppelin has remained one of the most popular iPod speakers docks in the market.

Although Bowers & Wilkins have now introduced the B&W Zeppelin Air with the latest Apple Airplay technology, the original one is still a great option for those that might not want to pay out that extra for the wireless solution.
