The Bose SoundDock 10 is the premier model in the SoundDock range and their attempt at challenging the likes of the B&W Zeppelin Air using bluetooth instead of Apple AirPlay.
Design, features & sound
This is the big brother in the Bose SoundDock range, weighting in at over 8kg and standing 22cm tall. It also looks more polished than the rest of its family, making it live up to the Bose design expectation. It is still easy to see that this speaker dock is part of the SoundDock family.
Where the SoundDock 10 stands out is in the powerful sound, as this speaker dock can go really loud with a hefty bass strong enough to fill a decent size room. The detail in the sound picture is also good, although i have not had the chance to listen to it long enough or outside a showroom to better tell what the sound is like at a home setting. I will update this review with a relevant score once had a chance to spend some time with this system.
A big plus goes to the Bose SoundDock 10 for featuring bluetooth adapter, allowing you to connect your iPhone / iPod Touch / Apple iPad wireless to the SoundDock. The bluetooth adapter is an optional extra, but one that is worth taking to make this system truly take advantage of the opportunities of your device.
