With the Quietcomfort 15 Bose set the standard for on-ear noise cancelling headphones, and now they have refined that expertise and delivered it into the in-ear experience as well with their brand new Bose Quietcomfort 20i/20 headphone.
Using clever microphone technology to pick up on the sound environment, the ‘engine’ so to speak sitting at the base of the chord filters everything to deliver the optimized sound, whether you want to block out the outside world completely, or using the aware mode to let some sound in. The aware mode could come in handy for commuters in traffic, as none of us want to risk our life while enjoying our music.
To assist with the noise blocking capabilities of the QC 20i, Bose have added some new StayHear + tips that helps seal the audio in, while also assisting in keeping the earplugs sit comfortably and safely in your ear. Of course you also get the usual Bose quality lifelike sound experience. The active noise cancelling is supported by a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery that delivers up to 16 hours playtime between charges. The Apple device model comes with 4-button inline control, while the Android etc. model comes with 2-button control.
I hope to be back with a hands-on review in the near future.
The Bose Quietcomfort 20i for Apple devices is available from amongst other Bose online at £259.95.
