Bose QC 25 headphones – A QuietComfort upgrade

Bose QuietComfort 25 noise-cancelling headphones

The Bose QuietComfort 15 noise-cancelling headphones have been a favourite of mine and many others, so with Bose launching its replacement in the QuietComfort QC 25 it comes with high expectations for both comfort, noise-cancellation, and sound experience.

According to Bose themselves, the new QuietComfort 25 headphones have been re-engineered to both sound better, be more comfortable, and provide a better noise-cancellation than its predecessor, which is considered by many to be the standard headphones in its class. This redesign includes improved quality material and finish for improved comfort and lightweight feel.

One of the reasons that its predecessor, the QC 15, received a five-star rating was due to its great noise-cancelling experience, which was great for frequent commuters, air travellers etc. I even know people that would have wear them on flights for sleeping purposes as it was that efficient in blocking out unwanted noise. So when Bose now claims to have improved that even further, I can’t wait to experience it hands on.

The noise-cancellation is still powered by a single AAA-battery that is said to provide up to 35 hours of operating time before it would need replacing.

Bose QC 25 is still recognisable as Bose headphones, but they have given them a design refresh to bring them up to speed with more current headphone trends, which is likely to also give them a more broad market appeal without alienating their fan base. First impression and color combinations definitely have them down as more pleasing on the eye, and if early reports (consumer reviews) are to be believed, Bose have managed to improve the overall sound experience as well, but I will get back in more detail on that once had a chance to give the QC 25 a hands-on review.

The Bose QC 25 is available now from a range of retailers from around £269 in black or white color options.
