Bose have enjoyed a lot of success over recent years with their range of Apple related accessories, with the likes of their popular Bose QiuetComfort 15 noise cancelling headphones and the more recent SoundLink Wireless speaker. Bose QuietComfort 20i in-ear noise cancelling headphones

The Bose QuietComfort 20 (£260) is their first ever noise cancelling in-ear headphones. Their engineers have achieved this using two tiny microphones in each earplug, with one measuring outside noise and the other inside sound. Both feed their findings to a chip in the in-line control module, which then optimizes the sound experience. All very technical and impressive, and so it should be for that price. Bose have also included some new proprietary earbud adapters that they say provide better fit and external noise blockage. How this really measures remains to be heard once had a chance to test.

Bose also announced the new SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker, a much smaller version (about half the size) of their popular SoundLink Wireless speaker (click to read review). The market for small and portable Bluetooth speakers have boomed over the recent years, much thanks to the versatility of Bluetooth across smartphone platforms etc. The Bose SoundLink Mini aims to challenge this market in the traditional Bose way, by seemingly deliver a well built, quality speaker that fits in the palm of your hand, weighing in at a low 680g. In fact, Bose is making a bold statement in insisting that their SoundLink Mini delivers a superior sound compared to the likes of Jawbone Jambox. We will give our own verdict as to that statement once had a chance to test it. Portability is secured using a lithium-ion battery said to provide up to 7 hours of playtime between charges (it comes with a charging cradle).

The Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker is set to be released in early July at £170. Both the new products will be available through the Bose website.
