The Boombox is getting a new life in the 21st century, upgraded to support the music formats and technologies, including support for the iPod / iPhone and a myriad of other portable media players and storage solutions. No longer is your boombox limited to how many cassette tapes you can bring with you, only storage capacity on your media player limits you now. Some modern iPod boombox solutions also come with integrated storage and functionality for mixing up the music right from the system itself.

Perhaps it is a result of the growing popularity of street dance, zumba classes, and other street performance art forms, but we are glad to see the boombox making a return on the scene.
