The countdown has begun to Black Friday which takes place on the 27th november this year. But we are already seeing several online retailers (and some brick and mortar one’s as well) kickstarting it very early, turning the week leading up to Black Friday into sort of a Black-ish Friday.
Analyst in the UK are predicting that UK consumers will spend in excess of £1billion on Black Friday this year, expecting spending records to be broken. Considering the chaos of last year’s event, let’s hope most of the spend takes place online and there are less stampeds in the stores. I know for sure i’ll be keeping my distance from the high street on Friday, not to mention supermarkets, although ASDA has proclaimed they will not take part in Black Friday this year.
So what can we expect this year? From what’s already in the marketplace we can expect the following.
Amazon – Biggest Ever Black Friday Deals Week
Amazon UK’s lightning deals week leading up to Black Friday has become somewhat of an institution, and this year they have made it even bigger with even more deals available. In fact there seems to be talk about ca. 7,000 products going on discount over the week. A quick check today included amongst other Sony 55-inch TV and Ted Baker headphones. See all Amazon UK Deals
They have also started off early with offers of up to 50% off kids bikes and scooters amongst other.
They are running half price on off desktop pc’s, there’s talk about best ever deals in 4K tv’s, and £100 off selected laptops over the coming days.
The electronic retailer is promising a week of offers with in cases more than 70% discount.
So far they have kept deals close to their cheast, but we will keep our eye out as great deals are expected on handsets. Keep checking Carphone Warehouse for deals.
They might not be “man on the moon” good deals, but with their price promise, we expect to see a wide range of cracking deals from the popular retailer. Keen an eye out on JohnLewis.com
As always, stay safe on Black Friday, don’t stomp over children and old people, be civil, and secure your deal online when possible. Happy Black Friday shopping all!
