With the backing of sports superstars such as Lebron James the Beats by Dr.Dre Powerbeats are on the flashier side of the sport headphone market and price range, but well worth a second look as they are reported to perform at a high standard.
If you are familiar with the Beats by Dr.Dre range of headphones you will already know that they are not the most under-stated headphones in the market, and the same is true for the Powerbeats. Launched as the sports headphones of the range, with the backing of basketball superstars such as Lebron James, their focus is all about delivering powerful beats while ensuring a secure and comfortable fit during your workout.
The Beats by Dr.Dre Powerbeats are available in red, black, and white, so they will stand out from the crowd, and you might catch an eye or two while out running or at the gym wearing them. Featuring an adjustable earhook they keep in place during your workout, and the ControlTalk on the cable allows you to skip/pause etc. (might not work for all digital music players).
Beats by Dr.Dre Powerbeats have separate subwoofer and midrange tweeter and are reported to deliver a high quality of sound. What HiFi experts have amongst other given them a top rating, referring to the sound performance as poweful with an excellent overall balance and detail.
The Beats by Dr.Dre Powerbeats are available from amongst other the following UK retailers.
